ymono creates handmade, ultra-individualised ceramic art in Berlin. ymono works at the interface of traditional craftsmanship, fine art and design. The ceramics are usually constructed by hand and are deliberately heterogeneous in their expression. Quotes from traditional Japanese raku ceramics are juxtaposed with pop elements. The glazes used range from traditional Asian glazes to commercially available industrial products. ymono's basic mode is experimentation.
