Yaay Ceramics stands for the joy that handmade ceramics bring - as in: “Yay! Ceramics!”

Sophia, the hand behind Yaay Ceramics, is a Berlin artist and art therapist with a deep passion for ceramics. She is particularly fascinated by the vibrancy and subtle beauty of clay in its various colors, textures and properties.
Inspired by nature and traditional Japanese styles and techniques like Nerikomi, she particularly enjoys working in a way that incorporates chance into the creation process, for example in the creation of nerikomi patterns, making each piece unique.
